Agreed—the open borders policy, tolerance of crime and coddling of criminals and wackadoodle gender stuff is more than just bad public policy.

It is raw evil.

Yes.
We probably wouldn’t have said that in 1960 but now there is a lot of evidence.

In the recently assembled book On the Demonic by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen (a book he said in 1974 he wanted to complete) he points out the way Satan influences leaders.
His book Communism and the Conscience of the West (1948) also refers to the evil in that political force.

Synopsis:
In On the Demonic, Sheen addresses the history of the demonic, how the devil manifested himself to Our Lord, how he has worked throughout the Church’s history, and how the Anti-Christ will come in the end times.

Though Sheen is not optimistic about world history, he is most optimistic about Jesus’ final victory: “There is one thing we do know. If Christ wins, we win!“
