Boston City Hall...you think it looks bad on the outside just wait till you go inside...
Don’t know where you got your information about the Storke tower at UCSB ( not USC)...but it is not surrounded by reflecting pools .. The tower starts at ground level at an adjacent side of the sunken plaza. Underneath the tower (from ground level to the level of the sunken plaza) is a block building which houses the campus radio station and newspaper...probably should house a web server nowadays.
The sunken plaza could be a beautiful landscape..but it is mostly stone and concrete ...and the pool has turtles, koi, and tiny fish in it...lots of underwater plant growth ..kinda’ unkempt...the school is also allowing their once pristine lagoon to be filled up with plant life ..soon to be a marshland as the school pursues it’s laissez faire attitude about “nature taking it’s course”. They won’t put up seawalls to prevent erosion of the bluffs where many houses are built. Soon the students housed in these homes will be forced to leave when those houses are unsafe to live in. The birds and fish are getting choked out of the lagoon. No more dredging.
I would hate to see a Tsunami hit the “edge of the ocean” campus, still beautiful with all of its faults.
What in the Salvador Dali is that?
