People think life is supposed to be a cake walk... down the old primrose path.
The ironic thing is, people actually DO have it fairly easy.
Survivors of the depression, and/or the world wars, actually know when they have it good.
For the rest of us, we whine and moan when something doesn’t come easy, or we are under a little bit of pressure.
Not REAL pressure, just the perceived variety.
So people spend a lot of money going to people who can write prescriptions. They’re pusher pimps. They aren’t idiots. They know why people are really there. To numb them down.
Calgon take me away!!!
People need to suck it up and embrace the troughs.
“people actually DO have it fairly easy”
Agreed.
Imagine your life with no electricity.
Once that is done...
It is time to grateful for all our blessings.
Frank Zappa said it best:
“Don’t expect friends, don’t expect fun, don’t expect a good life, don’t expect anything and if you get something, it’s a bonus.”
Entitlement mentality has poisoned out thoughts. We’re force fed it through advertising, school, media, friends, families,
big pharma which tells us a pill can correct all things wrong in our lives and make us *feel better*, encouraged by having a lifestyle that serves us and makes life very easy and comfortable, and sadly, even preaching.
We’re taught it, cradle to grave and it’s EXPECTED these days.
Nobody is taught to be grateful, thankful, how to deal with adversity and even hardship.
