If a person can afford CarShield premium payments, then they can have the
same amount taken out of their paycheck and deposited in a emergency fund at the bank.
Don't commingle funds either. The emergency account is separate and untouchable.

That's what I've been doing.
$100 is taken from my checking and placed into savings on the 1st and 15th.
My 99 GMC Suburban is now in the shop getting the front differential rebuilt, and I'll still be able to pay my bills.
Thankfully if more money is needed for things, I'm allowed to volunteer to come in on my days off and get some overtime bucks. As long as I take pictures to send to the boss to justify it.
Just did 14 hours of OT this weekend.
Tax free, thanks to President Trump.
