“I think Putin is stalling.” The Ukrainian defensive line is collapsing, not enough soldiers to cover the front. Stalling would not be a surprise.
Putin has agreed to meet Trump but has barred Zelinsky from the meeting.
I think Putin is stalling.
Or Stalin.
“That may not appease Putin. Even if it’s a ceasefire.”
The Russians can get a ceasefire by Putin publicly ordering Russian forces not to fire after midnight unless fired on.
Russia wants:
1. Ukrainian neutrality
2. no Ukrainian NATO membership or participation
3. no Ukrainian long-range missiles
4. no Ukrainian nuclear weapons or nuclear weapons development
5. no foreign troops in areas Ukraine is to retain or reacquire
6. its $300 billion back (on a schedule).
If Russia doesn’t get its $300 billion back, the Great Vlad might make Western intellectual property rights for Russian Federation disappear.
“ In the final analysis, he has no nukes so he has no say.”
Ukraines nukes were removed in 94 I believe. But like anything coming from that region of the world, I don’t believe for a second that Ukraine didn’t squirrel a couple away.
“I think Putin is stalling. So he can build more drones and missiles in his factories.”
The missiles tend to get shot down by Patriots I believe.
Ukraine shoots down 85% to 95% of the drones. If 1,000 drones a night are sent, only 50 to 150 will hit their target.
Kyiv is about 350 square miles.
I found this online:
“Since 1992, custodial protection of warheads designated for heavy bombers, as well as those removed from strategic missiles, is performed by troops under Ukrainian control.”
“In late 1993, the Ukrainians began removing warheads from the ballistic missiles. The removal, transportation, and storage were provided by Ukrainian troops. This became a watershed, which marked the transition of Kiev’s command and control into a stage of more autonomous and active operations. For the first time, the Ukrainian troops, on their own initiative, physically touched nuclear weapons.”

Not true. They were seized unilaterally by Russia.
No, Putin also demanded Ukraine to be demilitarized and de-nazified(De-Ukrainianized) leaving Ukraine a defenseless state with no allies.
Even Vice President Vance, no fan of Ukraine, said said Russia ‘asking for too much’ to end war with Ukraine.
In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Zelenskyy tells Putin to 'be brave' and finally agree to trilateral meeting with Trump, blackdog wrote: Well, that’s a pretty stupid thing to say unless you want talks to fail.
Bingo. Zelensky routinely sabotages peace agreements or meetings. For example, Putin was welcoming peace negotiations and Zelensky responded by invading Kursk. People thought Zelensky was witless for doing that, until some figured out it was intentional. NATO wants WWIII, not peace. They want the US to get directly involved in the war and if Biden were still Potatus, he'd involve our troops.
Either by words or military gestures, Zelensky provokes Putin whenever peace looms. Some of NATO's strategies performed by Zelensky make no sense unless you factor this in. At one point Zelensky said Ukrainian fighter planes would be based in Romania. Putin said any country fielding weapons is therefore a target. So then those planes were going to fly into Ukraine, touch down and take off again to be able to claim they were based in Ukraine. But flying across Ukraine and landing a fighting aircraft so close to the front lines without adequate air support would cause them to be destroyed on the ground. Those F-16's needed pristine runways and Ukraine didn't have any, and couldn't protect any they made. The Ukraine didn't have pilots. They kept coming up with stupid ideas and they only made sense if you look at how Putin reacted to each idea.
I think it's NATO calling the shots - this is NATO's proxy war. NATO wants continuous expansionism (unelected government) and Putin is in their way.
I was referring to the situation that existed prior to the start of the war. Ukraine was totally played by the corrupt globalists and you seem to have difficulty in acknowledging this obvious fact.
Ukraine in 2014 was neutral with a large majority of its population against joining NATO when Putin seized Crimea.
Putin's demands of Ukraine have been the same before and during his invasion; neutrality, de-militarization, de-nazification, russian language on equal footing, etc.
It began with the Maidan Uprising not Putin taking Crimea. Crimea voted like 90% to stay with Russia. Nobody in their right mind ever expected Russia to give it up.
And these threads will FINALY, merceyfuly end.
Another day on the FR. Another thread of Uke war hawks who very obviously aren’t over there fighting evil Putin.
LOL, you cannot be serious? Its voting under Russian martial law, where many left and where the ONLY two choices were for independence from Ukraine, or to join Russia.
No the 90% figure was also the approximate % of Russians living in Crimea. It was never going to be allowed out of the Russian fold. If Ukraine actually thought it realistic that they would keep Crimea it just goes to show you how delusional they are.
“de-nazification”
Look at what Germany has done.
“And these threads will FINALY, merceyfuly end.”
The bees are cheating...
I don’t think a shot was fired when Russia took over Crimea. Should tel you something.
Ukraine was shocked their slavic "brothers" would attack, but yes there were shootings and deaths.
A Ukrainian soldier and a Russian Cossack paramilitary were killed in the first case of bloodshed during the Russo-Ukrainian War and the annexation of Crimea.
