He hired him because he is a neocon. Anyways, I think the clock is ticking.

Meetings like this solve nothing unless the solution has already been worked-out and agreed-to in advance by artful negotions between talented key staffers on both sides. Failure to do this is why the recent grandstanding phone conversations between Trump and Putin have flopped.

The reported offer is a huge Russian victory, and probably will be undercut as soon as it is formalized and quoted by Trump.

It is frankly astounding that this is on the table from the US side after Trump’s Europe visit (UK visit) in which he was Starmer supportive. This proposal will destroy Starmer within Labour.

The proposal is:

1) Territorial concessions, which presumably are the battle lines in place. This awards Russia Europe’s largest nuclear power plant and essentially all of the mineral wealth Ukraine tried to sell to the President.

2) The offer to remove sanctions will enrage the Russia hating wing in Congress, but it’s really not much of an offer since they have not seemed to have any significant impact on Russia. Any such offer btw, would have to include Europe’s sanctions. As well as sanctions/indictments on individuals.

3) Military support for Ukraine would be defined as US weapons, purchased from Lockheed, Boeing and Northrop Grumman (making a profit), by the EU.

So that’s the US proposal. The Russian counter proposal would be:

1) Accept the US proposal. Clarify the lines. Impose penalties for violations (perhaps monetary, paid by the US, which would ensure Zelensky does no such thing).

2) Insist on release of all assets held in the US and Europe.

3) Impose Russian language protections into the Ukraine Constitution.

4) Russian concessions might be favorable transit fee for the GAZPROM flow in the Ukraine pipelines to Europe. Also de facto recognition that pro Russia candidates who were winning pre 2014 elections in Ukraine would never win again because of the extraction of pro Russia population from the voting total. Any war crimes prosecutions in the Russian courts of Ukraine persons will be ended. Russia might also drop any monetary claims for reparations of damage to the new Russian territory by Ukraine armed forces. (Naturally, this would require reciprocity)

Forgot about the pipelines. Ukraine got a nice cut from customers on the other end.

If the Trump team is successful then Zelensky is gone in a matter of months

Zlensky has been using martial law to suspend elections and keep himself in power illegitimately.

Martial law must be re authorized by the Ukraine congress and the current martial law declaration expires Aug 9.

If the Trump team is successful, there will be no need for martial law extension and Zelensky will need to stand for re election. He is very unpopular and so is the war.

At this point all Zelensky has to offer Ukraine is more war and death.

Chances are Zelensky will be voted out of office as soon as martial law is ended

This is the best way to remove this obstructionist from the equation

One would think that neither would agree to meet unless there was a positive outcome that was already mutually agreed upon.

But I’m not so sure that this meeting will produce that.

I think Zelensky is capable of throwing a monkey wrench into any deal.

I am not sure peace is in Zelensky’s self-interest nor is it in the interest of his strongest supporters here in the US such as Goober and Blumenthal nor all his Euroweenies supporters.

When the Three meet behind closed doors its going to be a donnybrook. I bet Zelensky comes out with a couple of black eyes. Advise for Mr. Z. Don’t drink any of the tea offered by Putin. Don’t shake Trumps hand. If you see both Trump and Putin grinning—run out. Remember; both Putin and Trump know how to use a pistol. If Mr. Z. is in the way of a deal—he can be eliminated.

Some are reporting that Putin is refusing any meeting that includes Zelensky. Putin is tired of screwing around and expects certain demands to be met. The globalist deep state doesn’t want this to end and will do whatever it can to sabotage an agreement. So Trump will have to be resolute in pushing this through if it’s going to happen. Trump needs a win here so I remain hopeful.

This is what provoked the talks about nukes. Putin said any attack on Kaliningrad would be an attack upon mother Russia itself and tactical nukes would be used to secure it if necessary.

Russia’s Kaliningrad would fall quickly in a war with NATO, U.S. general says

Oops maybe it was Donahue and not Kellogg. Either way this was seen as being overly provocative to Russia.

So we’re to gather that the WJS needed to get confirmation from the Kremlin for what the White House already told them…

“”””Russia’s Kaliningrad would fall quickly in a war with NATO, U.S. general says””””

Of course it would fall quickly if Russia started a war, Russia knows that, everyone knows that, you knew that.

I knew about the general mentioning that if NATO were attacked with Russia launching war against us, that Kaliningrad would be taken quickly, but that is just everyday common sense, a fact that everyone knows would be a first move if Russia attacks us, not a threat to attack it, and it wasn’t Kellogg who pointed that out, although your plumber could probably have told you the same thing.

The Plans from the EU and Ukraine are not even being discussed. It’s going to be a plan in between the US and Russian plan And Russia will get the better part of the deal. Z is going to be replaced with the ex general now UK ambasstor

EU plan:

Russia retains de-facto control over territories, no formal recognition.

‘Security guarantees’ from both EU & US.

Ukraine moves towards EU.

Sanctions against Russia ‘gradually eased’.

US plan:

Ban on Nato membership

Russia retains de-facto control over territories, no formal recognition.

US recognises Crimea part Russia.

Security guarantees from EU but NOT US.

Ukraine moves towards EU.

Sanctions against Russia immediately lifted.

Russian plan:

Ban on Nato membership

The entirety of the four oblasts transferred to Russia and Ukraine recognises them + Crimea as part of Russia.

Reduction of Ukraine armed forces, no security guarantees.

Ukraine moves towards EU.

Sanctions against Russia immediately lifted.
