US understands conditions under which Russia would end war in Ukraine, Rubio says

The US has a better understanding of the conditions under which Russia would be prepared to end its war in Ukraine after President Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday.

"For the first time perhaps since this administration began, we have some concrete examples of the kinds of things that Russia would ask for in order to end the war," Rubio said in an interview with Fox Business Network's Kudlow, adding that the key elements of any agreement would involve territory.

He added that he doesn't know if the reported meeting between Trump and Putin will happen next week, and that it depends on how much progress both sides can make.

Additionally, when asked if Trump would impose secondary sanctions on Russia on Friday, as the US president had threatened last week, Rubio responded that Trump would make that decision within the next 24-36 hours.

Ukraine will not be happy, but it can end.

Been saying that whatever applies to Ukraine must also apply to Belarus, if we’re talking about neutrality.

It’s a moot point to have Ukraine be neutral if Russia can move their forces right up to the Polish border in Belarus.

This reads like so:

We told you 2 months ago you could have peace with the battle lines X Y Z. Now they are much worse and you can have peace with those.

If not, then it will be even worse in a few more months.

“For the first time perhaps since this administration began, we have some concrete examples of the kinds of things that Russia would ask for in order to end the war,”

Outrageous BS.

It’s been well known for months, if not years, what Russia wants.

All they are doing is talking about talking while the action goes on.

My guess is that Putin wants Ukraine to withdraw troops from

1. Donetsk Oblast (partially occupied)

2. Luhansk Oblast (mostly occupied)

3. Zaporizhzhia Oblast (partially occupied)

4. Kherson Oblast (partially occupied)

“It’s been well known for months, if not years, what Russia wants.”

Correct, and Putin has presented it in writing. He has gotten no counterproposal. He added a second offer about a “ceasefire in the skies”. We are now in the end stage of every war. The outcome is known but the loser won’t concede because that would mean facing the music.

What russia wants would end the war with Ukraine for all time. Ukraine would cease to exist. Every move russia makes is to buy time to say nyet. These are a people predisposed to paranoia and conquest like the persians are predisposed to madness.

Vlad’s speech from day one, he has not waivered.

1) No NATO, Ukie neutrality.
2) Elections to return the ethnic Russian provinces. ( done).
3) Rid Ukraine of their Neo Nazi problem.

Number three the most difficult. Neo Nazis are firmly entrenched, but much discussion states that can be done by Rada decree.

Very simple. Vlad is not returning Russian provinces to be slaughtered by the Neo Nazis , as was done since 2014.

June 14th, 2024, at least to people who DID NOT think they could read Putin’s mind.

There are probably plenty of people in the Ukraine, who would rather be Russian.

Much worse how so? A few more Ukrainian villages genocidally destroyed by invading Russian Nazis? Ukraine will get it all back when Russia collapses again, anyway.
