Yeah. I always liked Vrabel. Loved him as a player, hated him as an opposing coach (which is usually a good sign for the coach!)

I just cannot watch the NFL anymore.

Sadly.

I watched for fifty years, sometimes fanatically. When I was at sea, I would pace back and forth outside the radio shack waiting for them to post the Sunday NFL scores on the bulletin board. In port, I would go up on the flight deck and just go up and down the radio dial listening for any static-filled voice that sounded like an NFL broadcast.

Their wokeness in the NFL just ended it for me. At the end, I foolishly defended them until...I could no longer do it when they organizationally countenanced the kneeling and cut my defense of them off at the knees.

Hah , our radio shack had a little window with bars , like an old bank teller’s cage There was also a doorbell mounted there, so one could alert them that someone was at the window , which was normally closed.

During playoffs, the RM’s would print out the scores and tape it outside the shack. Later the ship would put the scores on ships tv.

Some folks must have thought that the buzzer was there to get the latest sports scores.

Before the next round of playoff games , there was a note posted outside the shack.

The note cautioned that if you rang the buzzer in an effort to obtain sports scores, you were going to regret it, signed Comm O
