Mailing checks is getting dangerous. I’m down to ONE check to a state Dep’t of revenue. Capital police called up; had copy of said check changed from Dept of Revenue for $450 changed to a person and they added a $5000 in from of the $450. (Check washing). It was such an amateur job a bank failed to cash it. BUT..now, the bank routing number and the account number on the check was ‘out there’ and can be used for online payments by anyone who had it. It’s not even a low level steal-from-your- mailbox it was an inside the USPS job. Checks are the least secure and a checking account can be wiped out as now they have your routing and account number.

See my #25; and you are spot on.

People who trust the U.S. Mail are living in the past. A local P.O. may still be good, have good people, but the overall system is broken.
