You realize... that there are many veterans, homeless and at poverty level... and on SNAP... that you have just blanket accused of theft. Not everyone on food stamps are defrauding the taxpayers. Some are at poverty level due to no fault of their own. Yet, the very unchristian-like sentiments I’m seeing here astound me.
And the point I’m attempting to make here is that if you give government the ok to dictate what food stamp recipients can or can’t buy... you’re also giving that same government the power and right to do the same to you... at some future date. You’re not gonna like that, but you’ll have it coming... considering your current stance.

OK, wait a second... “Getting SNAP” is a whole different argument from “what you can buy with SNAP.” I am actually in trouble around here every time the SNAP issue comes up because I share EXACTLY what you just shared in that statement. It absolutely makes me sick how many want to completely eliminate SNAP altogether and let folks starve to death rather than cut into their Indian Casino money...
But with that said, WIC has been an extremely successful program mothers and infants truly need that did not and has not blossomed into more government control. The restrictions have worked well and saved on residual health care costs substantially. If they are going to steal tax money from me against my will it should at least be spent wisely...
Wish we had more control over what Congress spends our money on... SNAP is needed, most other things they spend our money on are not... Like corporate welfare for the Military Industrial Complex and Big Pharma.
