The Texas House of Representatives passed a resolution Monday afternoon calling for the arrest of dozens of Democratic lawmakers who fled the state to prevent a congressional redistricting vote from going forward.
At least 100 of the 150 members of the Texas House must be present for a quorum so business can be conducted.

Think this happened in at least one and maybe two other states, haven’t bother to look up. Think one state was Alaska, about 35 years ago. Other possibility does not have a location come to mind, . . . Idaho, Montana?

Interstate flight to avoid prosecution used to be a felony if I remember correctly.

Spot on. Again, for the umpteenth time, how are we going to avoid a civil war with this type of behavior? It is becoming obvious. I do NOT see how people can be so stupid. Everything including our lives will be destroyed.

Exactly. People ARE voting to try and fix this mess. THEY (Democrats) want to keep the mess going.

they have had years to pass the change (since the last time the Democrats fled)
All they need do is wait until they have a quorum, and then lock the doors and vote to change the quorum rules and stop this once and for all.

With the USSC getting ready to flush racists jerrymandering, Professor Johnathan Turley anticipates a base of 235 Republican seats in the House based on pickups in states like Texas and Florida. Wait till you see how the Left go ape over this decision. If you are 12% of the population you don't get to dictate to the other 88% of us.
The grand experiment by the left trying to make this an extension of Western Africa failed. Blacks as an ethnic group have failed, that's just a quantitative fact.

I would love to see them actually arrested and charged, but it has been posted that these would be symbolic arrests, and would only be valid in Texas. They would not make an effort track or extradite them. They will get a slap on the wrist at most. They should be tried with sedition and thrown in prison.
