But the “he fought back” part of this story was news to me - and fightung back against muggers is both bound to draw attention (call the police, someone!) and also get you killed.

Yet he died from two rounds in the back? And, I remember reading somewhere they were .22 rounds. He was likely not rendered unconscious by such rounds - survived for 1-1/2 hours - but allowed to die in the hospital. Note that DNC officials rushed to the hospital following his shooting. Whatever Rich may have said about the incident appears lost to posterity.
I think Mom and Pop Rich won’t be happy to know who murdered their son. I hope they understand their son, though, is a political and public figure, and his death is subject to a full investigation.

Clearly Kash was not saying that ALL conspiracies are not true.
My life experience is that when someone starts whining about “conspiracy theories” I can never trust them again....but that is just me.
And let’s not forget Justice Antonin Scalia’s mysterious death.
My best guess is that the conditions of his release from imprisonment would forbid it, unless he wants to go back to confinement.
