Why does it feel like every natural force is breaking at once? Because that's absolutely normal. Fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods happen every year. Deaths from natural disasters are actually down steeply on a global scale over the last century. There hasn't been an F5 tornado anywhere on the planet since 2013. Earthquakes are completely independent of puny human activities on the surface. It's just the ability of people to obsessively focus on news streaming in from around the world that makes it "feel" worse.

Add to that the odd characteristic of some people to believe man is actually capable of some of this nonsense.
