But the risk is that with the "established stars" getting all the monied roles, there won't be a generation under them to grow into characters that our grandkids will want to see.
Nothing against Sandler, but my grandkids won't want to see a 40 or 50 yr old man looking and acting like a kid.
Maybe we are looking at the seeds of their destruction?
46 million watched. Not a bad number. Your grandkids don’t have any real men actors. So maybe they need movies with a 58 year old.
The days of the Big Star are over. It’s way cheaper to cast a rising star or a complete nobody than to pay for someone with a big name. Look at the latest Superman. Hardly any multimillion dollar actors there. Nathan Fillion was the only one I recognized and he is far away from the Academy Awards.
Plus the amount of entertainment available practically exceeds the amount of time anyone has to consume it. Some of the biggest A list stars are making shows on Netflix and Apple TV to keep their money coming in. Theaters don’t make any money at all nowadays.
People already worship AI characters.
Hollywood as we recognize it wont exist.
Whoevers AI created the best movie this morning will be the big hit until tomorrow.
...come to think of it.
Google, etc collect so much information about each individual that by the time your grandchildren are grown their personal AI assistant will just generate entertainment based on their history of personal interests.
