FTA: “Those launches were also met with criticism, with some seeing the AI creation of a model — especially a person of color — as a way for companies to profit from the appearance of diversity without having to invest in it ...”
I have always felt that criticisms of internal operations or policies from sources outside a company should be responded to with a “Thank you for your interest and comments. We will give it the consideration that we feel it deserves.”
IOW: F/O peasant.
In real life big companies generally don’t give a tinkers damn what the public says. Just this week Ford announced that their new vehicles would include even more technology that, allegedly will increase the driving experience and add to safety. This of course will make vehicles more complex, more expensive, and less likely to be repairable by the owner. All this in the face of increasingly growing popular opinion that want less complexity, less cost, and the ability to make basic maintenance.
