What troubles me now is what I saw on TV News this morning is about a general increase in everyone’s light bills to pay for the power that AI will consume. Since most electrical use is metered I will presume that the extra billing is done through the nececessity of building more power sources for more power necessary to support this AI. This is totally wrong! Let those who support AI pay their own bills instead of forcing it on the general public. I had read on FR awhile back that someone was suggesting that AI should be powered only from “green power” sources. Even if they could do that, how will this keep it away from being supported by public rate payers? The only way I know of, and I am not saying this is fool-proof, is by the use of “green power” being used ONLY for AI & not for any “public power”.
