As I have mentioned (probably ad nauseum by now), we are going to be swamped with visitors this Fall. We learned a lesson when my cousin from FL & his wife visited about a month ago. They both are ‘gluten free’, which we did not know when we planned food for the visit. Mom had cinnamon rolls to go with coffee, there were buns for BBQ & cheesecake for dessert - they couldn’t eat any of it. Fortunately, they could eat BBQ, Cole slaw & potato salad so they didn’t go hungry.
I told mom to ask the couple coming the 9th if there were any dietary restrictions, such as gluten free, since we are providing lunch. Sure enough, the lady is gluten free. We will probably do BBQ again & get gluten free rolls. I just looked up gluten free desserts , found two - will probably do the little cheesecakes in jars (if I can find certified gluten free graham crackers).... so cute! These are Sally’s Baking Addiction recipes so I know they’ll be good:
No-Bake Cheesecake Jars

Blueberry Sauce Topping (looks great for cheesecake jars)

We will be asking about dietary restrictions going forward if we are providing the food for guests.
