Let’s see. Independent. Strong. No close friends. Perhaps she is giving off an air of “I don’t need anyone.” Everyone wants to feel needed in a relationship but too often they might interpret an independent personality as one who will treat them as a piece of costume jewelry: fun now but disposable on a whim without regret.
I once had that kind of bravado but, fortunately, I found a good man who showed me what I really needed. We just celebrated our fortieth anniversary last month.

Our youngest just graduated high school, and I would easily venture that we were in the minority regarding not having been divorced/remarried/etc. We are going on 27 years this year, and it's amazing how many people are on their number 2 or even 3. Then people wonder why the kids are so messed up.
