I suspect Mueller had dementia back when he was “leading” the investigation. We all knew that it was really Andrew Weissmann who was in charge. He absolutely has the stomach for the kind of unethical/borderline-illegal things they needed to do to railroad President Trump.

Not necessarily.

When John Brown raided the arsenal at Harpers Ferry in 1859, it took very little detective work to find the money trail that supported him. It led to prominent Boston abolitionists.

As soon as they were unmasked, they declared themselves insane and took up residence in an asylum, thus avoiding prosecution.

Mueller may be doing the same thing.

Mueller certainly appeared to be displaying his future, with his serious symptoms throughout the congressional hearing.

I was among the astonished, for sure.
