I think Trump is setting the stage for arrests, while stopping crime and building his public approval at the same time.

If PDJT can secure the safety of the citizens, residents, and visitors to those cities (DC, New York, Chicago shots shots shots, LA), he may win over long-time democrats for a couple of elections. The trickle-down from wise, safe, profitable and effective leadership could set the stage for a couple of decades of R governance in the biggest cities in the US, except those hopelessly lost who just vote on ‘principle’ (San Francisco).
And the number of democrats is vanishing like fog in the sun.
