REALLY getting tired of using the word “democracy”. The US is a constitutional REPUBLIC. I just looked up online definitions of “democracy” and they all describe people have the power by electing representatives. My understanding of democracy, which comes from Greek, meant everyone has a direct say. No elected representatives.

Amirong?

In other words, mob rule -- at least, in these so-called "modern" times. Rite U R!

I have repeatedly heard Tulsi Gabbard reference “democratic republic.” Although I agree with you, I have been told that the two are “interchangeable.”

I got into a beef with GROK last night about this. It finally came to my senses.

I finally got it to admit that the use of the term “Representative Democracy” started with Jackson
