Do not underestimate the power of the RINOs to massively bollocks up the Texas redistricting gift. They did it in Arizona in 2010, when the Tea Party handed them a massive win and a mandate to redistrict. We wound up with a 3 person committee consisting of 1 RINO, 1 Democrat, and 1 “Independent,” (actually a Democrat in disguise). As a result, we ended up with Democrat in disguise Jeff Flake, Kyrsten Sinema and eventually Mark Kelly, losing both previously Republican Senate seats.
