Seatbelts would have saved both of us, though I admit I suffered no trauma at all from my “stop-short” experience.
Barely remember what happened, there was another car we hit from behind but nobody was hurt but me. Stuff of nightmares for little kids I guess we just push it down into the subconscious? Still have a little scar from that.
