Grandma, is that you? I used to have dinner with my Grandmother every Tuesday night while I was in my second year of university. Near the end of the school year, I found out that she made dinner for us every week with a lot of arthritic pain in her hands. I was upset because she never once mentioned it, cancelled me, or let me help make dinner, and I asked her why she didn’t tell me how much pain she was always in. Her exact words were “Linda, just because you’re in pain doesn’t mean you have to be one.” She was Catholic and had 22 children. She was a very tough lady.
That line just got stollen(sic).
