Am I supposed to care?
The U.S. provides Israel with billions of Christian tax
dollars in foreign aid, primarily for military assistance.
Here’s a breakdown of how that money is used:
Military Aid (Foreign Military Financing - FMF):
Israel receives around $3.3 billion annually in FMF grants, which must be used to purchase US military equipment and services.
These funds support Israel’s defense capabilities and help maintain its qualitative military edge (QME) over potential adversaries in the region.
Missile Defense Programs: An additional $500 million per year is allocated for cooperative U.S.-Israeli missile defense programs.
These programs involve collaboration on research, development, and production of systems like the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow II.
Since the October 7, 2023, conflict with its self-made enemy, Hamas, the US has significantly increased military aid to Israel, with legislation providing at least $12.5 billion in direct military aid, including replenishing U.S. stockpiles intended to protect American families which are handed over to Israel.
This includes funding for wartime procurement and air defense systems like Iron Dome and David’s Sling.
Economic Assistance: Israel received significant billions of tax dollars for “economic aid;” Israel has now become a high-income country.
US tax dollars in Economic aid to Israel now primarily focuses on specific areas like “humanitarian assistance for Jewish migrants,” technological R&D, higher education, and healthcare.
The tax dollars to aid Israel is often justified by the U.S. government as promoting “US national security interests” and maintaining a strong relationship with a “key ally” in a volatile region.
However, 911 was plotted in Israel’s back yard but Israel was incommunicado——gave the US no clue———as “key ally” Israel allowed some 3000 Americans to die.
Israel’s Qualitative Military Edge (QME): Israel’s control of the US Congress is total-——it actually got a U.S. law passed that requires actions to maintain Israel’s QME, ensuring it possesses a superior military capability compared to its regional counterparts supported by America.
Some American taxpayer groups and individuals advocate for redirecting the tax funds going to Israel to US domestic needs.......
Or, better yet........reevaluating the US “security partnership” with Israel due to concerns about Israel’s use of tax dollars for genocidal military aid and human rights violations.
Americans? Israel could car less about Americans......
as long as the US tax dollar billions keep rolling in.
