The prescription for the rheumatism would be for daily use. If the cost for IVM is inexpensive, wouldn't daily use add up to an expensive cost? Also, you have to get the prescription from a doctor who would monitor your use with follow up appointments. That total cost for poor me must be covered by insurance.
Another question that just popped up: Would my doctor prescribe the IVM for a use outside its intended use?
I take IVM once per week for my weight, and it costs me about $28 per year. However, I am not under a doctors care as it is not easy finding an independent doctor.
I am also self medicating for lupus. Doctors could only treat symptoms with medications that have wicked side effects. I started eating candied ginger and all of my symptoms went away - no bad side effects.
I pray that you will find a doctor that will think outside of the box, and will help you get relief.
