Thanks. This is important. One reads an article because of the point or thesis stated in the title. Having attracted a reader based upon that title you don’t have license to wander all over expository or fictional space. You need to fulfill the promise in the title. Having done that well, the reader might then be interested in whatever else you have to say on the subject or related points. But when I approach an article because of the title and then have to go wandering around in a verbal wilderness I move on.
Exactly. Not to mention having to navigate around enough ads to choke a horse.
