A lot of Iranian expats tell similar stories. There is a conservative Australian broadcaster who was raised in Iran - Rita Panahi - who said that she and her classmates were forced to chant “Death to America” as a child. She said she and a number of her other classmates stood and moved their lips but did not say “Death to America” as a way to protest. I think a lot of Iranians view this type of thing as unproductive nonsense.
I have never forgiven the people of Iran for carrying out garbage in the American flag during the American Embassy hostage crisis, with 52 American citizens held for 444 days.
I say people because they had a lot of chances to overthrow their rulers. Like the American colonists who sacrificed an estimated 25,000 to 70,000 lives against the British including disease losses.
This is the first time I’ve heard of or seen that.
It probably wouldn’t happen here, though.
Those people shown that are not stepping on the American flag are without question not democrats.
People hate being constantly propagandized, lied to, and having the regime’s idiotic narratives constantly crammed down one’s throat.
Do it all the time and everywhere for 40 years, and most people will tune out and simply not participate in the game
I feel the exact same way about the US mainstream media.
They could paint an American flag on the Columbia (or Harvaad) grounds and the foreign terrorist students and homegrown would Schiff on it,
all glowingly approved by our Whack judiciary !
