Unless you are a complete financial noob, most of these financial gurus are devoid of any real value. What I have learned is that they produce 20-30 minute fluff videos filled with word salads that say nothing. These videos say nothing original, offer precious little insight, and more often than not simply parrot an article written in a financial publication.
And if I’m being completely honest, I still don’t know the gender of Lyn Alden who seems to always try to conceal his/her true identity. And yeah, that bothers me, so I stopped watching any video with Lyn Alden.
Most of these economic experts who challenge the status quo, all end up sounding alike and use the same talking point. They say word salads with some numbers thrown in, talk about hot button issues like bitcoin or gold in Fort Knox. They get some self-promotion on YouTube channels and seminars, where the marketing and promoters get paid long before any of the target investors make a dime. And if they are good at it, they get attention from fallen media stars like Tucker Carlson or Andrew Napolitano, an automatic red flag for me.
Economics and life goes on regardless of what they say.
Especially Zachery Cameron from "Square One Investing."
