watched the race. He deserved to win it. Period. I didn't watch, but I assume that was because he completed the required number of laps and passed the finish line before anyone else did.

I didn't watch it either but I assumed that meant there wasn't a wreck that involved the leaders with 3 laps to go where he snuck up from 17th place to win under yellow.....
