No we wouldn't have. The CSA was more than happy to trade and have peaceful relations with the US. Have we had wars with Canada every 20 years? After all, the British had more than 13 colonies in North America. Some of them did not want to secede. There's no reason to think relations between the CSA and USA would have necessarily been any worse than those between the US and Canada.
