Stateline analysis of data from the Deportation Data Project. Who are lying by using mislead statistics Arresting 2xs as many in 2005 as Biden did in 2024 means their "analysis" is an apple to oranges comparison. Their conclusions are pure garbage. Forty percent of the nearly 112,000 arrests by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from Jan. 20 through late June were of convicted criminals. That’s compared with 53% of the nearly 51,000 arrests for same time period in 2024 under the Biden administration.

Trump's ICE arrested more than twice as many illegals, and the percentage of convicted criminals dropped, but the total number is most certainly higher, and many of them may well be criminals who just haven't been convicted of anything yet. It's better to be proactive than reactive and deport them before they get convicted. All illegals are illegally in the country, and subject to deportation anytime.
