To: Dilbert San Diego

Definitely the case in my own family. I was one of six children born from 1951 to 1961. The six of us all married but had only five children in total from 1982 to 1995. Of those five, so far just two have one child each.

I believe that we aren’t having more kids is that your can’t really survive on one income. Daycare cost are expensive (and really not as good as if a relative or a spouse cared for the child) and some wants to keep up with the Jones ( not us, we might not have a fancy house or cars, but our kids are being raised by us), and brag about a cruise or a trip to Europe or a second or third house...
