Bryan Kohberger, who murdered four University of Idaho students in cold blood inside their off-campus house in November 2022, was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison after pleading guilty to the killings earlier this month.

CONSECUTIVE
SHOULD HAVE BEEN 30 SECONDS
I agree.
Right!
The sooner the better, but another poster said he will be in supermax without contact with other prisoners. Too bad.
I hope not!
Yes, it is!
I am more compassionate, I say 30 minutes. Sort of hard to fathom. The press said the plea said no appeals, but the judge said 30 days to appeal. Is there an opening for BK to appeal after 30 days?
I despise the fact that he could take the plea without having to say why he did it. So sorry for the families of the victims.
Me too!
I agree!
The lawyers would have to file the appeal if he changed his mind. I am not a lawyer so I don’t know the implications if he decided to change his mind within 30 days. However, it seems to me if the convicted coward wants to live he wont appeal.
exactly
If the guilty plea was done in exchange for not executing, I’d live up to my side of the deal.
Prosecutors can botch cases.
I’d make it my mission in life to get to every member of the prosecution that offered this travesty of a deal.
They’d be looking over their shoulders for the rest of their lives.
Which wouldn’t be very long.

Congratulations to the prosecution for getting this monster behind bars with no appeal. It was very gratifying to hear him say guilty.
Those prosecutors should be in the cell next to this murderous piece of crap.

The prosecutor did right putting this monster away and throwing away the key. No appeals, no arguing that he didn’t do it. Forced to admit he did do it.
If not immediate DEATH, Life in solitary confinement with no human contact, no devises and only a weak gray light to see the toilet.
No idea of weather or time of day. Let the bastard breathe but don’t give him any sense of living!!!!!!!
“Maybe the Post was sympathetic to Kohberger.”
i suspect the “reporter” was too lazy to bother ... the whole article looked like a bunch of near-random paragraphs in near-random order copied from various AIs ...
I caught the tail end of the sentencing video. The judge gave the defense 30 days to appeal...

Judges always advise defendants of potential appellate rights. That doesn’t mean he actually has any right to appeal. Safer to advise so that 10 years later he doesn’t claim some irregularity. This case is closed.
My money is on Dateline with Keith Morrison.
