As a kid (mid-70s)...I found the radio channel and listened to an hour or two per week (before they went massively to news-BS). Probably to the 1990s...they attempted some ‘balance’...with the 2004 election cycle....starting to go far-left. I haven’t listened to NPR since 2011.
I remember heading out to my car for Radio Reader, with Dick Estell.
I’m thankful to have written and gotten back an email from him, before he passed.
