Yes,I'm inclined to take that attitude. But I live in Massachusetts,a state where politicians don't even try to hide their contempt for the 2nd Amendment. Given that fact they might have a law allowing insurance companies to require that gun owners divulge that fact.

IIRC many homeowner's policy require you to divulge that your house has a swimming pool...because big claims can start at that pool. I suspect that the same might be true with guns.

IME.. MOST insurance Co’s DO ask specifically about firearms.

And most WILL jack your premium.

I remember being specifically asked. Do you own Guns? Do you have any “assault weapons”?

When I asked them to define “assult weapon” they were dumbfounded.

IIRC that conversation lead down a very long rabbit hole where it was agreed that it was best to just say “no guns in the house”.
