I would guess free-space interconnects become feasible. Multiple signals at a greater density and lower cost per connection. Heck this could work for free space computation too if the OLED arrays are dense enough.
There’s also other nifty and weird tricks possible with optics and non-linear media.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this enabled low cost high resolution volumetric imaging of living tissue in real time. Encode a GHz signal in the light emitted from each OLED in an array of such emitters and volumetrically image e.g. a beating heart through path reconstruction, using the encoding signal to discriminate the source OLED.
