From flamethrowers to hot pants, Elon Musk has already released a range of weird and wacky products.
Now, the billionaire is taking on the likes of McDonald's, Wendy's, and IHOP, with his very first diner.
The Tesla Diner is described as a 'retro-futuristic diner and drive-in charging experience.'

“I expect the diner will be a success.”
Perhaps, but they still hate him in CA.
I’ll take your word for it. :)
We have a few drive-ins in PA. Much better than traditional indoor moviegoing. Bring your own chow, sit on your own seat, talk if you wish, adjust the volume of the movie.
And a whole lot of diners. I just got my breakfast from a local one.
“Tesla opens its first DINER in Hollywood - complete with robot servers, a drive-in cinema, and CyberTruck happy meals”
it’s a cult, definitely a cult ...
!!!!! HADN’T EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT NO PAYROLL OR UNION ISSUES WITH ROBOTS!!!!!!!!
“No ‘Employees Wash Your Hands’ signs.”
I would like to think that, that employee handing those people their food had washed his hands.

Drive-in restaurants were great. Being served by robots...forget it. I'll take a human being everytime to take my order and bring it to me. Robots are very impersonal.
And they don’t look as cute in short skirts... lol
Plenty of servers are impersonal and/or downright surly, rushed or forgetful.
As long as the order is taken, drinks and food served timely and correctly, at the proper temperature, all is good.
We'll buy separate tickets for entertainment at the theater.
Maybe... But they just will not have the great legs and short skirts that made drive ins so popular... :)
Yes, more than once I’ve stopped the car to take a picture of a colossal chrome edifice on a PA road. At first you think Art Deco but it’s really a post-WW2 “Atomic” restaurant. At the tables there are these little glass and chrome vending machines with pages you flip; insert a quarter and you get boomer tunes.
The food is modern, though, and so are the prices.
