I think kids are kept too clean too. Hand sanitizers, wipes on everything, no roughhousing in the grass, no playing in mud, no pets, sterilized environments. They never have a chance to build up an immune system.
Too clean is my thought too. Kids don’t wipe out on their bikes in the dirt and streets like we did when we were young. When my son joined the army he heard a lot of the young recruits had such low bone density that they got hurt passing basic training. Grew up on their butts playing video games and never developed bone strength.
Yup.
A adequate exposure to dirt and germs is critical to training the immune system properly.
