People in Cleveland love the Guardians name, but I agree the Redskins should be renamed because Commanders hasn’t really stuck.
I can see why they made the change. Every two-bit punk Congressional aide considers himself or herself a “commander”. Why not just name them the Washington Ruling Class?
They could bring back the name and show respect by having an Indian cultural museum at their facilities...teach horseback riding...archery,,,outdoor camping,running...emphasize the positive (not the inter-Indian tribal wars)
Since gambling is big in NFL....open a Washington Redskin casino on Indian land as well as a first class university..nearby...win...win....win...win
Half teasing...but...
A) "Wizards" is a stupid name
2) "Wizards" is culturally insensitive to the demonic entities community.
What about Uncle Ben? They converted!
IIRC it all started with Stanford in the 70s going from “Indians” to “Cardinal”.
What about Uncle Ben? They converted!
Uncle Remus, who said to Uncle Ben, “You’re a credit to your rice.”......Never got a dinner!

I like calling them Washington Commies and I’m sure I’m not the first one here to say that.
LOL. Wrong again.
Especially the Land O Lakes maiden.
Typical of Paleface, remove the Indian, keep the land!
There were even some liberals who don’t like saying “Washington”, because he owned slaves or something, so they would refer to it as “The Nation’s Capital Football Team”.
YES to this! And bring back the fight song, “Hail to the Redskins.”
Washington’s NBA team used to be the Bullets.
And the Mammys Kitchen logo in Myrtle Beach
“Not something we really care about, Mr President”
I care A LOT. I don’t care about sports AT ALL, but I do care that liberal whack jobs changed the names to erase more of America’s history. We have to claw back wherever possible.
“People in Cleveland love the Guardians name,”
Not the people I know in the Cleveland area. The Guardians are named after a bridge or something...? Lame.
