An astronomer was once asked how many galaxies were out there. He said, think of it this way……draw a bubble bath. Every single bubble is a galaxy. It really put it into perspective for me.

I read somewhere the most distant observable galaxy, designated IC 1101, is comprised of an estimated 100 trillion stars and is 1 billion light years from here.
