And absolutely no one is more aroused than Lindsey Graham.
Well, on the bright side…at least we now know the sodomites are firmly and immovably in charge!
NO!!!
If President Trump intends to commit up to the level of Lindsay Graham's expectations, he has to pivot, execute an about-face, and justify everything that he has so blatantly opposed. He must rehabilitate President Zelinski from someone who started the war to someone worthy of support. We must convert Vladimir Putin from a statesman to war criminal. He must justify the cost of any arms shipment to Ukraine after deploring such costs. He must convert himself from pessimist to optimist about the chances for Ukraine to prevail, after announcing to a beleaguered president Zelinski in the Oval Office that he "had no cards."
This is a task more daunting than faced Franklin Roosevelt in the run-up to World War II when he allegedly wanted to increase support for Britain but proceeded cautiously out of fear for public opinion.
In contrast, Trump must actually reverse his emphatically stated positions and now convince the public, especially his base, that he has not changed but it is Vladimir Putin who has changed. He will finesse the cost of sending arms to Ukraine by claiming he is actually selling them. He will not say that he has been played by Vladimir Putin, rather he will insist that he has exposed Putin for the aggressor he is.
The president must enthusiastically endorse new and heavy sanctions after he has stated that sanctions have not worked. He must justify the seizing of Russian assets after conservatives have argued that doing so weakens the dollar as it undermines confidence in America as the reserve currency.
He must advocate for cooperation with our allies in Europe after disparaging them in every context imaginable as he arranges for them to be conduits of our weapons.
But the real measure of his task is to get people to now believe that it is more desirable for Ukraine to win than for them to lose. At least he will at last be on the side of truth.
I think a wise General once termed this “ Doubling down on stupid”
Folk, we going all in now.
As we parade off to war, Lindsay Graham and Richard Blumenthal are holding the flag leading the procession.
Y’all proud, aren’t ya.
A fruit military lawyer and lying stolen valor Democrat dictating American foreign policy.
Those boys in tight and they soaking in all the glory warmongers ever dreamed of.
Well, I didn’t vote for Lindsay Graham and Richard Blumenthal to be leading the parade to get us more entangled in a European war rooted in century’s old territorial conflicts.
Think about it, Graham appears at Trump rally in his home state and nearly gets booed off the stage.
America Firsters loudly rejected Graham at every opportunity given them.
Linda Graham.. the ultimate representation of a uniparty player..
The k street whores along the party bosses needed to secure large government contracts, thus this announcement and further screwing the tax payers and involving the US in endless foreign conflicts. The real winners here are the uniparty players, k street lobbyists, defense contractors, and us military bureaucrats.. tax payers not so much..
Everyone see it... our debt reflects this, the Bush administration proved it to a lot of Republicans.. its about fedzilla, the deep state, party before tax payers.. and every politician becomes wealthy.. D or R.. funny how voters really don’t have a choice because of the funding or non funding of candidates along with open primaries.. uniparty wins every time.
Linda Graham, Fag representing South Carolina is the picture perfect example of why the 17th Amendment needs to be repealed. Im confident he is controlled by the party bosses and k street types.. who represent the top three industries that pay the most to k street... funny how Linda just keeps going on and on..zero accountability to the voters.. never primaried.. clearly flawed, odd and a Juan Mcpain type politicatian.
Look up Dennis Hassart, you know the House Leader who impeached Clinton but failed to remove him from office by one vote... lol.. nobody knew his past history involving minors... right....
Till the 17th Amendment is repealed, we as US taxpayers do not live in a true Constitutional Republic.
You had me until the last two sentences
Zelensky’s definition of “ winning” is delusional, and now, apparently, so is Trump’s
We notice the absolute boisterous thrill that Lindsay gets when he scores a win for himself and his warmongers.
It screams “I beat Trump”. That is what he exemplifies with his bloviating.
He is despicable.
IMO Trump will send weapons to the Ukraine to further Russian cooperation in a negotiated settlement. Graham seems to want to act like a tough guy and will send weapons with no plan in place.
The only way to end a war it to surrender or win which means winning is the result of surrender. Trump will not surrender Ukraine to Russia. He will end the war but it will have to be taken past Putin’s threshold of pain.
At what level does Putin call it quits?
And Putin will laugh, knowing damn well conservative voters will bail on Trump if he keeps supporting Ukraine and the war with weapons. Goes against many things he said while campaigning, and this isn't the only are he has reneged on or has provided a less than satisfactory solution to.
Trump’s right there with him.
I have not forgotten that Trump is a negotiator first. Putin turned down trump’s offer. According to the art of the deal, Trump makes it harder to ignore his offer. According to what I read, Trump will be shipping war materials to Ukraine at no cost to the US and increase the economic war on Russia.
I doubt Trump wants the war in order to win, he wants a deal. He is saying to Putin that the US can sustain a level of engagement at no cost to us and possibly make money from the sanctions, so your choice Putin.
IMO Trump will send weapons to the Ukraine to force Russian cooperation in a negotiated settlement. Graham seems to want to act like a tough guy and will send weapons with no plan in place other than drag the war out.
I didn’t vote for this.
Neither did I. But do we let Putin, who won’t negotiate peace, have Ukraine and all the rare earths? Perhaps a big threat is what Putin needs to talk...?
Big Beautiful Arms Shipment.
Reagan did similarly. He signed into law the prohibition of civilians being able to buy machine guns made after 1986. That meant we could only buy machine guns made before he signed the bill (which was in a larger bill he needed to be passed).
That means that if I want a full auto UZI, I'll pay around $20,000 instead of the $1,600 I was going to pay in 1987. I always figured Reagan had a machine gun collection and wanted to make it huge before he left office. But I think it was nothing but a DC negotiation.
And a huge slap in the face of the 2nd, nonetheless.
