I LOVE to wash my dogs but, unfortunately, they both need trimming, nails and glands done. To do each separately at a groomer is pricey but with a bath, it all gets done so I am happily at the mercy of groomer!!!
My husband washed our Great Pyreneese in the back of our John Deere Gator!!! We had seven dogs at once- GP, bloodhound, beagles, bassets, assorted yellow dogs! Thankfully, no skunks but one got popped in the face by a copperhead.
Yes, to the one groomer, I justI don’t like to be taken advantage of. Do business with me honestly and you have a lifelong customer. For the daughter to price my dog’s mere bath at $75 when a wash, trim, nails, glands and blow dry done was only $70 made me leave forever.
We had a pumpkin farm back in the early 2000’s! Up before sunrise, home at sunset just to get up and do it all over again and again and again!
“Actually it’s employers realizing that when they declare their employees tipped they can pay less.”
Yep. Way back when I was in high school, I was working the line at a restaurant for $3.35/hr and switched to waiting tables where I was paid $1.12/hr + tips. My sister worked at a Chinese restaurant and was paid something like $.87/hr + tips - I think they could pay less since it was such a small operation.
It is almost an intentional effort to drain Americans as fast as they can - mandatory tips, food, gas, car prices, health costs, mortgages rising and rent unaffordable.
WE NEED A BREAK.
True, as is the poor farm option non-existent. My point is, instead of the cities/counties just throwing our money at the homeless, year after year, with no results except more homeless coming to the area fix the problem. Bring back mental hospitals, bring back poor farms.
THE NUTTIEST ONE IS THE SELF CHECKOUT LINE.
WHO IS GETTING “THE TIP”?????
I HOPE YOU TOLD THE OWNER IT WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WOULD BE IN THERE. I WOULD HAVE.
PAPA MURPHY’S IS BETTER PIZZA THAN ALMOST ANYWHERE, ANYWAY
The new TRACTOR SUPPLY near me has that wash station.
I havent seen that one yet. That is funny.
I love the ones that put the “zero” tip in 6 point typeface at the bottom of the screen.
I don’t get “worked up about it” but I do shake my head.
“ Plumber/home repair/mechanic if sole proprietor or Mom and Pop shop”
You got that bassackwards. Any person who owns or runs their own business or practice should not be tipped. They are free to charge whatever they wish. They keep all of what they charge. If they are not happy they can charge more.
Depending on the profession you could consider tipping their employees.
fewer people
After being yelled at for leaving a small tip, I’m through tipping. If people serving me don’t like it, they can learn to code.
Tipping your doctor? Hhhmmm...never thought if that...
I would never tip the doctor at the time of service but if I have a family doctor that I have a long-term patient relationship with, I would give them a small Christmas gift, not necessarily monetary.
