I don't think so. Musk is at his best when he is looking at a physics problem (EVs, SpaceX, Boring). He can get the mechanics. Politics is inherently a people game, and he cannot hang true to his niche values, with no sizeable natural constituency, and also break past Libertarian/Green numbers.

Musk's Asperger's doesn't allow him to continue in long-term relationships. He's proven that multiple times with the women he's impregnated and left 13 children with. He also proved it by lasting about 9 months with DOGE and Trump. He's not capable of staying around if he isn't top banana. Then he runs on to the next big idea. This being one of them. And that opinion is from someone I spoke with who has Asperger's Syndrome.
