And when they increase the recipients every year and the payout by 7-10% every year - well, that just won't work. Basically it's a disincentive to be productive, it would quickly crash the country. Agreed. Which is the main reason I hate the forced Ponzi scheme called Social Security.

Yang was somewhat popular with his UBI push. Yang was somewhat right with his UBI push. He was a bit too early to advocate for it, though.
We will see employers lay off their workers due to AI. And they can't get jobs.
This is where UBI comes in.

Not with Musk’s name all over this. The left will stay home. The Left will vote Dem and Indies will get tricked into voting for the Independence Party and take away from the GOP candidate. The only reason independents vote GOP is because the Dems have gone so far radical Left.

You’re right and not just CNN either
They will want to split that vote only way they can win with around a third of the vote.

Musk will take anyone he can get right now. Eventually he will pile up a bunch of losers who represent nothing his new party was supposed to stand for and will become something else and then it will be gone.

Tells you all you need to know about Musk.

He's better off with having a bunch of nobodies. But Musk would have to come up with a platform first.

The secretary of Muskrat’s so-called political party is from India.

Whether or not you think it’s a good idea or not, if anyone can pull this off, it’s Elon Musk.
I don't think so. Musk is at his best when he is looking at a physics problem (EVs, SpaceX, Boring). He can get the mechanics. Politics is inherently a people game, and he cannot hang true to his niche values, with no sizeable natural constituency, and also break past Libertarian/Green numbers.

Somebody on here predicted this. Only they meant it as a joke...Which is even more prescient.

yin and yang?
3rd parties suck votes. I think Elon pulls more from the R’s than dems.
Yang? Dunno. Unknown in need of a name tag.
To: RandFan
Musk may have information to get rid of the scumbags in both parties. He definitely has the money to fund good opposition candidates. Just sayin’. This will be interesting.

Elon scooping up the Democrat echo chamber Twitter only freaked enough out that they have this thing called BlueSky now, which is an even bigger echo chamber.
It’s interesting that domestic enemy Twitter before Elon brought about a need for Truth Social and domestic enemy Twitter after Elon brought about a flocking to BlueSky where crazy Dems wanted zero to do with a company that was willing to platform the current President after deplatforming him.
Democrat party is at risk of fracturing far more than the Republicans.
The Republican fracture already happened by Trump infiltrating it.
He brought Independents and some Democrats with him.

I will NEVER vote for an Elon Musk party! Phooey!
