Pools are crazy expensive to maintain.
Many in my area have closed.
That said, I see “instant” pools popping up in unused retail sites.
Appears to be a large area but shallow above-ground pool sitting on the existing slab.
I wish them well.

Glen Ellyn is a very well to do almost all white suburb of Chicago. Home prices are very high and the residents are snooty liberals almost completely.
We live two towns to the west. It’s full of “Hate Has No Home Here” signs.

My son’s HS had a black guy on the swim team. The local news raced over to interview him during states but scrapped the interview because he was from France and had an accent. 3rd highest GPA in the school and went Ivy League. His Mom and Dad were both professors.
My son now works with a guy whose grandfather was a bodyguard for Haile Selassie (Ethiopia).
I never bother reading such news.

I learned from PBS this past Black History Month that slavery is why blacks don’t swim.
You could take a dump and toss that in the pool when it gets taken over.
The penalty for being labeled a racist is real. You can lose your job or be hounded by the angry mob. Until that ends, blacks can do whatever they damn well please.
I’ll admit that I don’t know what it’s like to be white and to be labeled racist.
As a Latino being called racist because we don’t like black people just doesn’t mean anything to any of us. I have actually laughed at a black lady calling me racist. So? It was actually very amusing.
And they won’t go after our jobs because that’s personal and we will do something about it. You wanna ruin us? It’s gonna be at a price for you too. I think whites gotta start getting down and dirty with the race hustlers. There’s gonna be a price to pay for their actions. If there isn’t a price to pay this crap is just gonna continue.
