Sorry to hear. However, if you bought Gold around 2001 it was $260 oz/t…..today, $3,300 oz/t……its rise outpaced the pirates taking.
That said, a relative fled Illinois ( Chicago area) to Arizona. He was lucky to find a buyer for his house, the housing market is collapsing. The last thirty years of property taxes wiped out much of his house sale “gains”.
