This is a song first done by the band The McCoys that had the guitarist Rick Derringer, who recently died in Florida at the age of 77. It's done by Count Vlad and is more along the David Bowie's Pin Ups version from the early 70s. There is also some footage of a young Jerry Hall, who I believe was married to Rupert Murdoch at some point.
It was ok. The guy looked like he had one foot in the grave. The Bowie version had a sax player who couldn’t play it.
I thought Bowie played the sax on that recording.
He played a mean sax solo on his 1990 tour. I do believe it was TVC15-beginning of the show 2nd song. Mountain View.
I believe that. I also liked his sax playing on his 1993 Black Tie White Noise album.
I much prefer “Sorrow” by Pink Floyd from their ‘A Momentary Lapse of Reason’ album. I love playing the opening guitar solo on my Strat...turned way up high.
Nicely done. The Count’s voice worked well.
Thanks dynachrome!
Yeah, they do Sorrow too.
