'Dangerous' Diddy is sent back to jail to await sentencing on two guilty charges after shock split verdict that stunned America

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been sent back to jail to await sentencing after a dramatic verdict day that saw him cleared of the most serious charges he faced - but found undeniably guilty of others.

Combs, 55, had pleaded for mercy and freedom, telling the judge he should be allowed back to Florida to look after his ailing mother.

He was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, which carry a combined sentence of up to 20 years, but was cleared of the top charges - a victory in many senses.

It remains unclear how much longer the rapper, who has already been in jail for nine months, may spend behind bars.

Diddy has not been seen in public since September 2024, when he was arrested on suspicion of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

No cameras have been allowed inside the federal courthouse.

Today, as the verdict was read aloud after just 13 hours of deliberations, his fans and family cheered and partied outside.

They cleared him of sex trafficking and racketeering, the most serious charges, which could have put him behind bars for decades.

Across town, Cassie Ventura's husband Alex Fine was spotted returning home with their children, holing up inside their house as the world reacted to the trial outcome.

She testified while heavily pregnant, telling the jury how Diddy tortured and abused her for years.

JUDGE WASN’T BUYING LETTING HIM OUT ON BAIL UNTIL SENTENCING

2 10 year sentences served consecutively will not surprise me.

HE ducked LIFE on the other charges.

Wait until they give him a year and a day and after credit for time served he strolls on out of the courtroom. Only in America.

Violation of the Mann act IS a serious felony. It’s simply not as serious as what he was facing.

There are suggestions Ms. Comey “threw” the more serious charges. With that crowd anything’s possible.

He’s going to get a little over two years at most.

Everything I've read suggests that he will get between 15 and 51 months, with time serves factored in. No doubt about it this was a huge loss for the prosecution. And Trump already went on record saying you would consider pardoning him.

I don't know of any other charges he has pending, but there will probably be civil cases. I don't know what happened but they screwed up big time. This will embolden him even more and make people think he's on touch. There we're already a lot saying that his career will take off again.

If it doesn't fit, you must acquit.....

Or, use a lot of lube.

Racketeering, could the State have presented a better case?

Overreach. Overzealous prosecution, IMO. They had an airtight case for prostitution and maybe even trafficking, but racketeering was a stretch.

She testified while heavily pregnant, telling the jury how Diddy tortured and abused her for years.

And what charge was that related to?

I didn’t follow this very closely but it sure seems there were much more serious charges that could have been filed but were not.

I am going to predict he walks with a very minimum sentence, maybe even no jail time...

2 10s for a 55 year old is pretty much life ….. i bet they wont stack the time and he will get 5 years total minus time served.

I actually was surprised he went back to jail before sentencing. This judge may just give him max.

The purpose of the raid, arrest and prosecution was to get a hold of the videotape evidence. James Comey’s daughter prosecuted this case and Maxwell’s case. The videotape evidence needed to be secured. It will never see the light of day. Powerful people needed to be protected.

His lawyers were ecstatic, probably pleased that instead of life he’ll get 4-5 years and then right back into freak offs.
