According to Grok this Directed Energy weapon is real, and the Russians do not appear to have anything like it yet to use against Ukraine drone swarms. (Export controls are intended to prevent them from purchasing the tech.)

I hadn’t thought of that and it’s entirely possible. I’d prefer they be dead than be used for those nefarious reasons. They might prefer that too. These are not thoughts conducive to a good might’s sleep.
